In complex telco IP or radio networks, an infrastructure with many management systems will never be efficient. In crisis situations, hundreds of alarms will raise at the same time and picking a priority will not be an easy task.
For one of the Polish mobile telco brands, we have developed a solution that solves these problems. It replaced a large and expensive system from a huge vendor, who lacked agility in delivering necessary changes. To ensure software flexibility, we used open source components, NoSQL databases, and rule engines. Thanks to a fairly simple DSL, the client is able to easily define most of their own incident handling rules.
