Traineeship recruitment completed
As planned, the Storytelling Next Step project was successfully launched on 14 June 2010 with the participation of two trainees. In the beginning of July, two other trainees will start working on the HISE project. We are very happy with the great interest TouK’s traineeship offer aroused. ITPW 2009 – the winners rewarded

We already know the preliminary results of ITPW 2009. The names of best competitors will be announced during the closing ceremony, to be held on 21 November 2009 at 3 pm in room 5440, in the building of the Faculty of Mathematics Informatics and Mechanics at the University of Warsaw. Game writers, prepare for battle! – ITPW 2009 about to begin
'Fighting' programmes can be submitted for the Internet-Based Competition for Fighting Programmes (Internetowy Turniej Programów Walczących) between 7 and 22 October 2009. Food for thought provided, as usual, by the IT Student Association (Koło Naukowe Informatyków UW). Read the account of last year’s event.

The Soapuii Project completed
Test-generator, the tool which allows creating regression tests of business processes, constitutes the most important element of open-source Soapuii project (SoapUI Improved) recently completed by TouK. The project also encompasses a Proxy-generator and SoapUI patches. All the above solutions and other open projects of TouK can be found at top.touk.pl.

Workshop – date change
Due to an abundance of new participants, Tomasz Zieleniewski from Telco reiterated his lecture devoted to an introduction to creating NGN network services on 26.03.2009 at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science of the Warsaw University of Technology. As a result, demonstration has been postponed by one week. It will be held on Thursday, 2 April, in room 123 of the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Awards of ‘ITPW 2008’ given out
Marcin Sulikowski, Jakub Paszkiewicz, and Piotr Leszczyński ranked first, second, and third in the Polish Internet Fighting Programs Contest ‘ITPW 2008.’ Their names together with the awarded programs were announced on 22 November during the finals of ITPW.
“One of my dreams has come true,” said Jakub Paszkiewicz from Radom, who ranked second, when he received a Canon camera, one of the prizes funded by TouK. [Full results] [More info on the contest]
