TouK – the Golden Partner of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science of the Warsaw University of Technology

A martial arts show, sports competitions, contests and concerts of student bands – such attractions gathered the students and lecturers of the MiNI on the main campus of the Warsaw University of Technology on 4 October 2008. The programme of the event was based on the non-scientific interests and achievements of its participants. The volleyball match between the students and faculty staff attracted the greatest number of spectators, as did the concert of Martin Lechowicz, author of the “Piosenka o smutnym programiście“ (A song about the sad programmer).

It was established in 1999 following the division of the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics into the part devoted to mathematics and information science and to physics. The purpose of the event was a multidimensional integration of students, the academic staff, graduates and future employers. Around 300 people took part in it.
